Beth & Declan were married on 9th September 2023 at Hobbit Hill.

When looking for our perfect wedding venue we wanted somewhere close to where we live in Longridge, with a country feel and great views. We ideally wanted an open plan function room with a bar and dancefloor in one room so all our guest could stay together for the day, and a stunning ceremony area.

At Hobbit Hill it not only has a beautiful ceremony room, but there is also the option to get married outside, in the woods, should weather permit. Thankfully on our day this was possible, however the views from the ceremony room are equally as stunning if we had needed to change to our plan B.

The large function room was ideal, allowing all our guest to be together, with the added option of opening bifold doors to bring the outside in, it was the perfect option for the time of year. We also loved the fact that there is plenty of accommodation on site for our wedding party to stay over.

All the surroundings at Hobbit Hill provide an unlimited amount of great photo opportunities. For me though, the wood area and the walk down into the woods is one of the main features of Hobbit Hill that makes for stunning pictures. We have some lovely pictures of the children enjoying the swing down in the woods as well. The big barn doors behind the top table also offer a great backdrop for any top table pictures and videos of speeches.

We booked Hobbit Hill on the 29th October 2021, for the 9th September 2023.

Jen was our wedding coordinator at Hobbit Hill, she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day, but more importantly, she ensured that nothing ever got stressful or overwhelming during the planning process. It genuinely felt more like she was a good friend helping us plan our wedding, and so everything felt easy. The whole team at Hobbit Hill were brilliant, and everyone there was happy to answer any questions, and go the extra mile.

The colour scheme was always going to be pinks and golds. We also wanted to embrace the country feel of Hobbit Hill and was inspired by meadow style flowers and pink earthy tones. We had the most wonderful suppliers, who understood the brief and brought it to life better than I ever could have imagined. Amore Events provided the most gorgeous pink shade of chair covers and table runs. This was complimented by gold cutlery and pink water glasses, hired from Whitehouse Events Crockery. Papercut Design created all our stunning stationery, from invites to order-of-the-day, and even turned my dresser into our table plan. The Bloom Room, Longridge, created all the gorgeous flower displays, buttonholes and bouquets. The showstopper being the row of flowers lining each side of the aisle, and the huge flower arch that we got married under.

We would highly recommend Hobbit Hill as a venue. From the views, accommodation, staff and the option to get married in a lovely ceremony room, or in a gorgeous woodland setting outside. Indoor and outdoor, Hobbit Hill offers so much space and beautiful surroundings for your guests and it’s the perfect twist of a modern country style venue.
