To The Manor Born

The story of the creation of Beeston Manor, borne from a redundant
farm barn in 1985 to becoming one of the finest, privately-owned wedding venues
in the Ribble Valley, is a fascinating one.

The owners of Beeston Manor are the Bickerstaffe family, and
they have meticulously restored the Grade II listed sandstone building using
traditional building methods and maintaining many original features. This
really has been a labour of love for the entire family.

The exclusive venue is set within 140 acres of land at
Hoghton near Preston surrounded by a stunning, panoramic rural landscape. You
could be a million miles from the rigours of everyday life when you’re at
Beeston Manor and yet in reality you are just minutes away from the M6, M61 and
M65 motorways.

They have fourteen elegant & rustic en-suite bedrooms,
including a beautifully appointed bridal suite, with oak beams, pink sandstone
walls, and high-end furnishings throughout. Beeston Manor has a licence to hold
civil ceremonies, a restaurant and two function suites both of which have the
backdrop of those breath-taking panoramic views.

The building has literally been hand made by John
Bickerstaffe (owner) and his father Frank over 12 years and has the most
special & romantic atmosphere you could possibly wish for. Originally used
for the storage of farmer’s crops, this 16thC barn has had many of its’
original features exposed, including the beautiful oak beams and the locally
quarried pink sandstone.

Their two function suites, Woodland and Oakland, both
mirror the building technique of the original barn. For example, the Oakland
Room beams were made from green oak trees which John and Frank themselves
felled from the neighbouring Beeston Wood, and the entrance hall houses the
original stone flags on which was originally the thrashing area for the corn.

And did we mention the helipad?

Exclusive use is available, so if you fancy being Lord &
Lady of the Manor then Beeston Manor is the ideal wedding venue for you. It
just oozes rustic charm and it encourages you to be so creative with your
wedding themes.
