The Trending Wedding at Mytton Fold

Modern couples are increasingly moving away from traditional wedding formats, favouring instead a more spontaneous, personal celebration that is immersive, interactive and has that wow factor.

With wedding trends increasingly being led by social media and couples wanting to emulate viral reels, the Tiramisu/Espresso wedding has been a massive hit.

Tiramisu cakes are growing in popularity as a trending alternative to the traditional wedding cake. A large, sharing tiramisu dessert is a truly impressive centrepiece; it has a rich indulgent flavour that has mass appeal and visually it looks incredible. Tiramisu towers can also add an interactive dimension for all your guests, encouraging everyone to gather together and share in the decadent sweet feast!

Our giant tiramisu cake and individual tiramisu tower were all created by È Bella, both combining the classic tiramisu flavours of Marsala wine, rich coffee-infused mascarpone cream and cocoa powder dusting.

Espresso martini towers are also a fast-growing wedding trend and the perfect match with a tiramisu dessert cake, adding an extra layer of decadence and vintage glamour. The combination of coffee liqueur, vodka and espresso will really get the party going and create some unforgettable photo opportunities.

Draping fabrics have made a powerful comeback and are definitely here to stay. Soft flowing textures and elegant fabrics create an atmosphere of sophistication and help to transform a venue for those all-important picture-perfect moments.

Pure Elegance created a stunning multi-layer draped backdrop for our themed shoot, which framed the space perfectly and its creamy neutral tones added that extra layer of warmth and depth.

Flower pits are the exciting new trend in wedding breakfast seating arrangements; a naturally aesthetic centrepiece filled generously with blooms and greenery, creating a visually appealing focal point.

Abbey from Petal Lane Floristry Studio created our centre masterpiece, table flowers and the floral displays for our backdrop. She used a combination of ginger flamingo lilies, purple allium, blush pink roses and carnations, vibrant dahlias and soft pampas. The heart-shaped lilies add colour and warmth, while the bright dahlias and star-burst alliums add drama and a real colour pop. The delicate ruffles of the carnations and roses, and the fluffy pampas create a layer of softness and romance. The backdrop displays added sophistication and elegance while the flower pit looked exciting and magical.

Abbey also created our innovative wired bouquet, a beautiful and contemporary unique arrangement which showcases her floristry skills perfectly. Wired bouquets are very much back in vogue. With each flower individually wired, there is more structural control and every element can be angled and curved for precise positioning that holds its shape throughout the day. They are much lighter than the traditional style bouquets too, so designs can be more creative without the additional weight.

Abbey’s stunning cascading floral arrangement of roses, carnations, dahlias and one single statement allium, looks airy, organic and effortless.

Our luxury linen and tableware were provided by Chateau Noir, giving our wedding breakfast a real stand-out, high luxury feel. Layered, patterned tableware and mixed glassware is a major trend right now and Chateau Noir created the perfect modern layout complete with floral plates, soft, ruffled tablecloth, beige napkins and orange glassware to complement the dramatic ginger flamingo lilies. The look was finished with stationery from Signed By Jen.

Our dresses were provided by leading bridalwear retailer Your Dream Dress and included some exciting new designs from their in-house label, Jennifer Lou.

Monica, their strapless gown, features a sweetheart neckline, corset-style bodice, delicate floral lace detailing and a long sweeping train for an elegant entrance.

The off-the-shoulder design, Danielle, has a soft romantic feel with its delicate sheer lace sleeves and flowing skirt drapes and train, adding grace and movement. Both dresses blend contemporary design with bridal sophistication. Available exclusively at Your Dream Dress.

The modern bride wants to look natural and fresh-faced with soft hair textures and a relaxed vibe. Thanks to The Bridal Artist Co for creating the perfect look for our shoot.

Jakes & Co provided our suits – a selection of the classic black tux, and as a contrast, a warm, sandy beige, single-breasted, three-piece suit with complementary taupe tie and pocket square. The black tux has definitely re-claimed its place at the top for grooms offering timeless elegance and film-star glamour. While the beige suit is growing in popularity, with the single-breasted style offering a clean, minimal look for a less formal feel.

Our venue was the contemporary Mytton Fold, set in the heart of the Ribble Valley and surrounded by stunning grounds. The elegant Abbey Suite is the perfect blank canvas for any wedding theme and the beautiful picture window is an impressive backdrop, flooding the room with natural light.

Capturing our styled shoot and known for her natural, relaxed, fun photography was Sarah Glynn; a super cool photographer who is all about capturing the love with her high energy style.
