When looking for our wedding venue, we wanted somewhere that was spacious and airy, with lots of natural light and a friendly atmosphere where guests could stay afterwards.
We searched throughout Lancashire as we didn’t want our guests to be travelling too far and found that Mytton Fold was the perfect choice.
We got engaged in June 2022 and booked the venue in the August 2022. For our initial viewing date, I was admitted to hospital so Jake had to view the venue without me, but the wedding team at Mytton Fold sent me extra information to help make me feel included.
Mytton Fold was the perfect venue for us. The exterior is beautiful and unique, with gorgeous gardens and lots of outdoor space around the venue; the open days showcased the venues options perfectly. The main room was lit by so much natural light it felt even taller and more spacious than it is which is something we both wanted. The staff were incredible right from the beginning, ensuring we had all the information we needed, going that extra mile to help me feel included when I couldn’t attend viewings due to being unwell and answering all of our questions. The care and compassion shown to us just solidified that this was the right venue for us, alongside it being dog friendly which meant our rescue greyhound Tommy would be part of our day.
The team at Mytton Fold were amazing, the attention to detail and the regular communication was great, checking everything was okay and amending and updating when we requested. They helped conceal our surprise band which meant we didn’t have to stress about it on the day. Lukasz on the night before and the day was fantastic in keeping everything running smoothly, and even arranging for my husband’s waistcoat to be fixed during the meal! The team thought of everything and even ensured we had specific alcohol-free drinks for family members.
We chose Sophisticated Events to style our venue. Jakes favourite colour is orange and with me being ginger and initially wanting an autumnal wedding, I had already picked orange as the theme years before he proposed! We wanted to add hints of orange whilst keeping the decorations light and airy to complement spring and the flowers I would be having in my bouquet. Linda and Michael at Sophisticated Events were amazing in helping us think about details which we hadn’t thought of such as adding calla lilies to our floating candles which were gorgeous. Creative Venue Stylist provided our chairs and sashes to finish the look we wanted.
Mytton Fold is the perfect wedding venue because of their attention to detail, as well as the amazing quality of service provided. The team will go above and beyond before and during the day to ensure your dreams come to life and things run smoothly, even problem solving when issues arise. The food is delicious and there is such a choice and range of options to suit all. The bridal suite and hotel are modern, trendy and welcoming; it is perfect for getting ready for your big day with its own glam room. Finally, the venue is dog friendly with a dog friendly overnight hotel room which means your four-legged pals can celebrate with you.
