The Jewel in the Crown – A Lake District Styled Shoot at Fallbarrow Hall

Combining cutting-edge design with traditional and stunning interiors at Fallbarrow Hall.

We just love the rich sumptuous colours of the jewel tone theme; sapphire blue, emerald green, ruby red and topaz yellow – all deep luxurious colours reminiscent of beautiful and precious gemstones. Event florists Flower B and Time for Flowers encapsulated our jewel tone theme perfectly throughout all their room styling.

Our Lake District Wedding Show styled shoot took place at the historic Fallbarrow Hall, located in Bowness on Windermere, overlooking Lake Windermere from its extensive landscaped gardens and woodland. Fallbarrow Hall is a very grand Grade II listed Victorian mansion and boasts many superb architectural features, and if you’re looking for an intimate wedding venue in the Lake District, you will fall head over heels in love with Fallbarrow Hall.

To add an extra dimension to our styled shoot, we introduced some Wes Anderson-inspired scenes. American filmmaker Anderson is best known for incorporating symmetry and balance into his films. His style is that distinctive that many people can recognise his work from just a simple scene, from its composition and use of colour. Photographers Olivia Whittaker and Sarah Glynn rose to the challenge superbly. Look at our images where our brides are the central point in the images, with a feature mirrored on each side of them bring symmetry – even on your wedding day, a brilliantly creative photographer will work with you to think outside of the box for some of your images.
