In the latest issue of the Great Northern Wedding Venues magazine (available free at all our events and you can read online here too) you will find a beautiful styled shoot at Ashfield House, created by Sarah at The Rose Boutique.
“Autumn is a time when there is an abundance of jewel coloured flowers and naturally we chose a rich pallet of dusky pinks, magenta and coral for our styled shoot at Ashfield House. With Ashfield being such an amazing blank canvas, our dreamy late summer blooms complimented its grand exterior and its classic elegant rooms.
There are so many different spaces to dress at Ashfield House and dressing the front door is most certainly one of our favourite areas. It is such a welcoming venue anyway, but to be able to welcome your guests with the additional treat of a flowery installation gives them that first glimpse of the style and feel of your wedding – plus it also makes a fabulous feature for photographs and the perfect backdrop for the confetti shot.
Sarah at Sarah Glynn Photography captured the day so beautifully. Sarah photographs regularly at Ashfield House and really understands how to create the best moments in such a beautiful natural way.
Dreamy and romantic was the brief, and Emma Louise Bridal supplied the perfect, breathtaking gown. Becky, our model, looked amazing with Wedding Hair and Make-up by Jen creating soft flowing curls and a beautiful natural look that really complimented the dress and the flowers.
Simply Bows Lancashire were fabulous to have on board; Charlotte and Debbie created beautiful and elegant looks for each of the guest tables which added to the luxurious feel of the various centrepiece designs. And we utilised the beautiful Chivari chairs that Ashfield House already have in their ceremony room and wedding breakfast room.
I love working with Sarah from White Orchid Print and Design. Her designs are so beautifully put together and she kindly created a different look for each table. Her designs featured gold leaf, dried flowers, silk ribbons and wax seals. All of my favourite details, which once again complemented the flowers and the whole feel of Ashfield House.
Last but not least, the bouquet we made for Becky was finished with the most beautiful silk ribbons by the lovely Nicola at Bertie & Fred. All her ribbons are hand-dyed and she has some beautiful colours to choose from.
