Mottram Hall was the wedding venue we’d always wanted – Danielle & Thomas

We booked Mottram Hall around two years before our wedding. Having stayed here many times over the years to celebrate other special occasions, we knew this would be our wedding venue. Set within the Cheshire countryside, we always felt Mottram Hall is a real escape. We absolutely love the venue, the grounds, the surrounding areas, the lake with its black swans and of course the décor.

The drive up to Mottram Hall and the grand entrance was the first moment we thought – wow this place is something else. We couldn’t wait for all our friends and family to spend the weekend with us and share our love of the venue with them.

The preparation room at Mottram Hall was perfect – we had access to this the day before too so I could hang my dress in there. It was the most wonderful place to get ready with my bridesmaids.

The food was stunning throughout the day. At our menu tasting the head chef couldn’t do enough for us, if we wanted to try extra canapés they made it for us, talked us through the wines and when is best to serve them. Nothing was too much trouble – the wedding breakfast was amazing. We had a few dietary requirements on the day too and the head chef was great accommodating these.

The Mottram Hall team on the day really couldn’t do enough for us, they were very helpful and kept our guests feeling welcomed throughout the day. Mottram Hall has so many great photo opportunities, from the fountain at the entrance, the staircase in the main hallway, to the beautiful rose gardens where we had our ceremony. Our photographer, Mick Cookson, captured so many wonderful moments beautifully.

We visited many Little White Books’ Wedding Fairs and Shows whilst wedding planning, and this is where we found all our wedding suppliers. Red Floral Architecture exceeded all my dreams of how I pictured our wedding would look – we were fortunate enough to have an outdoor ceremony, and Red Floral created the most incredible floral pillars for our ceremony on probably the hottest day of the year! Their table settings were also beautiful and my bouquet was just the best ever.

We would highly recommend Mottram Hall as it is a truly breathtaking venue no matter what time of year it is. There are so many stunning features and for us having everyone in the place that has so much meaning to us made the day even more special.
