Hobbit Hill is such a relaxed and beautiful place to get married – by Grace & Chris

Grace & Chris were married at Hobbit Hill on 18th May 2024

We didn’t have any specific requirements as such when looking for our wedding venue, but we knew Hobbit Hill was the place for us as soon as we pulled up on the driveway. We only searched in and around the Ribble Valley area, it’s such a naturally beautiful place and it’s only 30 minutes from our home and wasn’t far for our guests to travel.

We booked the venue a year and two months in advance of the wedding date.

Hobbit Hill was absolutely stunning in every single way possible and we felt so welcome as soon as we walked in. We loved the barn style in the main reception area and the fact you could get married inside or out, weather permitting – luckily for us it was a beautiful sunny day so our ceremony was outside. It’s just such a relaxed, chilled and beautiful place and with the added bonus of accommodation for guests and the bridal party.

The main entrance, the wooded area and the swing in the woods all made for prefect photo opportunities. To be honest the whole backdrop to the venue with stunning views all around is great for photos from any angle.

The Hobbit Hill wedding team were honestly fantastic on the run up to our wedding and on the day itself. They listened to everything we had to say, what we wanted, they made us feel at ease and if we didn’t want to do traditional things such as cutting the cake, they simply just said it’s your wedding day, you only do what you both want to do.

On our wedding day they couldn’t do enough for us, Laura kept checking in making sure we were both okay and everything was going as planned, but she also stayed in the shadows I bit if you will, which I liked because it made us and the guests feel as though it was our own personal venue which was fantastic. She is such a calm and grounded person that it really helps on such a big day to have someone like her in your company, she was fantastic.

Amoré Events Stylists styled the venue for us. We spoke a month before the wedding and Rosie asked me what colours our bridesmaids and groomsmen were wearing – we went for sage green and white for the floral aspect. It looked absolutely beautiful. Every single guest commented on how lovely the venue looked.

We would recommend Hobbit Hill to any future engaged couples as their perfect wedding venue because it quite simply is PERFECT! Honestly if we could do the whole day again we would. We had guest after guest telling us how stunning it was and how we had found a gem! I would want everyone in the world to get married at Hobbit Hill just to see the beauty of the place and experience such a fantastic wedding day like we did.
