Megan & Andy Stott married at Mytton Fold on 16th July 2022.
As we both live is the Ribble Valley we wanted to get married locally. We needed a large enough venue to accommodate both our families and somewhere set with beautiful grounds.
As soon as we walked into Mytton Fold I knew it was the place for us, I fell in love with the venue straight away. The decor is neutral so you can have any theme you like. I loved the beautiful beamed ceiling in the Abbey Suite which I knew would look gorgeous decorated. We also loved that the bar and dancefloor were in the same room which meant that everyone would be together.
The grounds at Mytton held a secret that I didn’t find out about until the day – behind the pagoda there are more gardens. There is a beautiful tree where we had lots of photographs taken underneath. There is also a meadow which we walked through as the sun was setting, and these are my favourite photos as everything is golden and so beautiful.
The team at Mytton Fold are amazing, especially Paris. She looked after us throughout the whole process, she gave us lots advice on anything we were unsure about, she recommended suppliers to us, she went above and beyond. The week before the wedding we made a couple of changes to the menu as the weather was so hot, and she organised it for us straight away. Honestly I can’t thank Paris enough. She’s brilliant at her job and a lovely person too, really good to deal with as nothing was too much trouble for her.
On the day we were looked after Lisa, Becky and the rest of the team. They were fantastic. The day went so smoothly and everything was just perfect. Becky was never far from me, getting me a drink, or answering questions about things I wasn’t sure about. I knew the day was in safe hands with Lisa and Becky looking after us. The food was incredible. Everyone commented how good it was, especially the sausage barms in the evening. Guests still mention them to me to this day!
Creative Venue Styling decorated the room for our wedding. They have everything you could ever imagine. Our theme was classic green and white, plus I knew I wanted the beams to be decorated and dreamed of a wisteria hanging, and of course Creative had it. We had wisteria hanging from the beams and pagoda outside, flower bombs on tables, and our chair covers matched the bridesmaid dresses in peacock green.
My florist, Katie Stott, made wreaths for the other tables, and also dotted flowers in vases around the bar area and created the most beautiful top table centrepiece.
I would recommend Mytton Fold as everything is just perfect. The hotel is amazing – I’ve never stayed in a room as nice as the bridal suite.
But most of all I would recommend because of the staff, they really care about you and your day and want to make it the most special day that you will never forget.
