When it came to looking for our perfect wedding venue, we wanted somewhere that matched the vibrant and traditional feel of our Indian wedding. The location needed to be accessible, especially for guests travelling from afar and the venue needed to comfortably accommodate our large guest list, as having everyone we care about with us was so important. We needed flexibility to personalise the décor, food and layout to reflect our traditions and a venue that could transition seamlessly from the daytime ceremony to the reception. Availability was crucial too, as our wedding had to align with specific auspicious dates.

We focused our search near Priya’s family in Preston to make it more convenient for family and friends. Ribby Hall Village stood out with its beautiful outdoor spaces, allowing us to celebrate surrounded by nature in a setting that felt both special and accessible for our loved ones.

We booked our wedding venue 10 months in advance. With an Indian wedding, there are so many details to coordinate, and securing the venue early was essential to ensure we got the perfect space for our ceremonies and reception. It gave us plenty of time to plan everything else around the venue and align it with our chosen auspicious date.

Ribby Hall Village offered the perfect combination of space, flexibility and beautiful surroundings. One of the highlights was having the option to use two rooms – the Rowan Suite and the Garden Room – along with the stunning garden area. This gave us a natural flow for the day, allowing our guests to move easily between spaces. The Garden Room was ideal for breakfast and lunch, while the Rowan Suite was perfect for the ceremony and evening reception.

The venue was especially great for a summer wedding, as the garden area allowed our guests to enjoy the outdoors. With it being such a warm day, the garden became a lovely space where everyone could relax and take in the atmosphere. The flow between the rooms and garden meant our day felt connected, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy each part of the celebration without feeling crowded.

The team at Ribby Hall Village were incredibly flexible and easy to work with. Eliza, in particular, really understood our vision.

The accommodation options were another highlight. The rooms and cottages provided our guests with the perfect place to stay, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the weekend. With so many guests traveling from different places, it was great knowing they could stay onsite and make the most of the celebration, turning our wedding into a memorable weekend getaway.

Ribby Hall Village offered plenty of photo opportunities, with its beautiful gardens, well-maintained lawns, and open spaces providing perfect backdrops for both relaxed and formal photos. One of the standout moments was our portraits in the garden. The lush greenery and flowers created a stunning, natural backdrop that truly made these photos pop. The groom’s arrival was another highlight, with dramatic flare shots capturing the excitement and energy of the day.

The peaceful Spa Hotel and lake added an elegant touch. As the day transitioned into evening, our shots took on a completely different feel, with the softer light and tranquil setting creating a more intimate, beautiful backdrop.

The wedding venue team at Ribby Hall Village were exceptional from start to finish. In the run-up to our wedding, they were incredibly supportive and made the planning process feel smooth and stress-free. Eliza, in particular, was amazing – she really took the time to understand our vision for the day and offered guidance and advice every step of the way. She was always on hand to answer our questions, suggest solutions to any challenges, and ensure that every detail was covered. Their attention to detail and flexibility meant we could personalise the day to perfectly reflect our traditions and style. Additionally, Eliza was excellent at managing external suppliers, liaising with them seamlessly to ensure everything ran smoothly and on schedule.

On the big day itself, the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. From the moment we arrived, they were there to look after us, our families and our guests, making sure everyone was comfortable and everything was set up just as we’d imagined. They were discreet yet attentive, making sure everything was in place without ever being intrusive. It was clear that they were experienced and knew exactly what needed to be done to keep the day flowing seamlessly.

The support we received from the venue team really allowed us to relax and enjoy our special day, knowing that everything was in capable hands. Their professionalism, care, and attention to detail were truly outstanding, and it made all the difference in ensuring our wedding was everything we had dreamed of.

For styling our wedding, we were lucky to have R J Creations, based in Birmingham, as our dresser, and she was absolutely brilliant! She helped us bring our vision to life with her incredible attention to detail and expertise.

For the daytime, we wanted to blend traditional Indian wedding elements with a modern twist. We chose rich, vibrant colours like deep reds, dusty pinks, maroons, and green – colours that are significant in Indian weddings. The florals played a big part in this theme, with lush arrangements of roses, orchids and greenery that added elegance while still feeling vibrant and fresh.

The décor was a beautiful mix of tradition and modernity. The traditional Indian elements, such as the mandap, were styled with intricate draping and florals, while the more contemporary touches included gold accents and soft lighting that created a warm, romantic atmosphere for
the reception.

For the evening reception, we wanted to shift the mood and create a sophisticated, luxurious setting. We opted for creams and gold, creating a refined and elegant ambiance. The room was transformed with soft cream draping, gold accents, and black tablecloths. Elegant centrepieces with candles and floral arrangements in ivory and blush added a romantic touch.

R J Creations truly understood our vision and worked alongside the Ribby Hall Village team to ensure every detail was perfect. From the ceremony setup to the reception styling, everything came together beautifully and perfectly captured the essence of our cultural heritage with a modern flair, transforming the venue into a breathtaking setting for both parts of our celebration.

Overall, Ribby Hall Village was everything we envisioned for our wedding. The combination of the beautiful venue, the flexibility to personalise every detail, and the unwavering support from the team throughout the planning process made our special day even more memorable. It truly was an unforgettable celebration, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to begin our journey together.
