Rustic Weddings have got to be one of our most favourite wedding themes; they are timeless, the inspiration is endless and the simplicity of the theme makes such a statement. It’s mismatched and natural, relaxed and romantic, and has strong countryside and outdoor influences.
You can combine so many natural textures – an original stone-walled barn venue, seasonal wild-flowers that look like they are freshly foraged from the hedgerows, and the use of tactile fabrics and papers in your big day styling.
Town Head Estate was our ideal location; set within acres of ancient parkland on the shores of Lake Windermere, with the refurbishment of their stone Wedding Barn recently completed. It was a wild and blustery day outside which led to beautifully dramatic outdoor shots.
Inside was tranquil and serene, styled with oak cross back chairs to complement the original oak beams, stunning stone walls gently illuminated by Edison bulbs, and masses of foliage to soften the look.
This styled shoot has been created to promote our next Lake District Wedding Show which is returning to J36 Exhibition Centre on Sunday 4th September. With a fantastic selection of over 60 local and regional exhibitors all waiting to inspire you, it is the biggest and best Wedding Show in the Lake District and Cumbria.
