A Perfect Venue for all Seasons – Charlotte & Ben were married at Hobbit Hill

Charlotte and Ben were married on 4th July 2024 at Hobbit Hill.

We ideally wanted an outdoor wedding, somewhere close to home and a place that felt relaxed and fun.

Hobbit Hill was the perfect venue for us. It’s a really calming and special place with so many gorgeous views and photo opportunities, as well as a beautiful outdoor ceremony area. We had family and friends travelling from all over the UK so the pods and The Shire were perfect as they offered our guests a place to stay.

If our plan for an outdoor ceremony couldn’t go ahead (which it couldn’t) the indoor space is beautiful and the doors being open mean you still feel like you’re outdoors.

Our photographer knew the area really well and took us down to the local river for photos. There is also a gorgeous forest area with a swing.

The team at Hobbit Hill are absolutely amazing, they are basically like a free wedding planning business. They ask questions you might not have thought of, they support you and guide you through your decisions. We booked our wedding 18 months prior and the staff were always on hand and always super helpful. They are so attentive and I couldn’t have got through the day without them.

We wanted our theme to reflect our love of animals. I had decided to style the venue myself so collected toy animals, which I sprayed and used as name holders. We didn’t want a large table display so we went with single bud vases which we collected from used wine bottles, cola and medicine bottles. Our colour theme was blue and yellow which blended so well with the sunflowers.

Everything about Hobbit Hill is amazing. This was the first venue we viewed and we knew at viewing it was the one. We viewed five other venues in the area, but nothing compared. It’s a truly unique venue with a level of service you’ll find hard to match.
