The wedding we dreamt of – Elliot & Jessica at Hobbit Hill

Elliot & Jessica tied the knot at Hobbit Hill on 17^th June 2025.

We got engaged on Christmas Day 2023, and after attending to a wedding at Hobbit Hill, we did not hesitate to book in the following January. It was the only venue that we had chosen to view as it truly ticked all the right boxes – a beautiful setting to celebrate surrounded by family and friends.

Jessica has lived in the Clitheroe area all of her life, making Hobbit Hill a perfect place to bring together and celebrate with our family and friends.

We had booked Hobbit Hill around 17 months in advance, giving us plenty of time to plan our big day, arrange our suppliers and genuinely enjoy the journey.

With Jessica’s love for the countryside and having walked the Tolkien Trail on many occasions, along with my fascination with The Lord of the Rings, the venue’s natural beauty and Shire theme captured our hearts. Hobbit Hill has continued to inspire us, from completing the Tolkien Trail Race in Hurst Green to visiting Hobbiton during our Honeymoon in New Zealand.

Every corner of Hobbit Hill was full of fantastic photo opportunities. From the magical round wood, rustic barn to the endless stunning countryside views. Alongside our talented photographer and videographer, we have our wedding memories to treasure forever.

From accommodating my eldest sister, Lydia, playing the piano during the ceremony, to my youngest sister, Rachel, creating the cake, and facilitating my band and Jessica’s uncle Steve’s DJ set in the evening, the team at Hobbit Hill were incredibly friendly and supportive, making our wedding day truly special. Jen from Hobbit Hill, in particular, went above and beyond — always attentive and reassuring throughout — and she even saved Jessica’s wedding dress from a little mishap during the celebrations.

We found that Hobbit Hill needed very little styling thanks to its natural beauty. The team provided milk churns for our attentive florist’s stunning arrangements. Jessica’s mother added her own dried lavender, and Jessica personalised the table numbers with photos from previous family and friend’s weddings, creating a special touch that brought everyone together.

We cannot recommend the wonderful Hobbit Hill enough! Our wedding day was everything we had dreamt of and much more. We are so grateful that it has given us a lifetime of precious memories that we will always treasure from the best day of our lives.
