Celebrating in New Orleans style at Stirk House

Our New Orleans styled shoot at the award-winning Stirk House was a real showcase of the timeless elegance of their Manor House weddings. New Orleans, or ‘The Big Easy’ as it is also known, is renowned for an easy, laid-back lifestyle yet it also has a vibrant party culture with a rich music heritage and festival vibes.

New Orleans famously celebrates the ‘Mardi Gras’ festival, a real vibrant affair with an equally vibrant palette of colours. The super talented @fleurs_ink floristry pulled many of these colours together in her flower meadows, bouquet, floral lapel and buttonholes – and you’ve probably never seen anything quite like these before!

Stationery by @newcardsontheblock_ demonstrated some wonderful nods to the New Orleans style, particularly referencing their feel good culture.

Stirk House itself was expertly styled by @creativevenuestylist, who mastered the New Orleans vision with vintage décor, sumptuous ceiling drapes and elegant centrepieces.

Our models Glen & Tom wore suits provided by @hopemenswear_norden, modelling multiple sophisticated looks, with relaxed tweed to luxury tails, and pops of colour through fabulous floral details provided by Abbey of Fleurs & Ink Floristry.

Rich food also plays a huge part in the New Orleans Mardi Gras festival, and @reds_cakes_and_bakes nailed the brief with a unique multi-tiered cake, which looked almost too beautiful to eat!
