Timeless elegance – Elisha & Jacob at Mytton Fold

Elisha & Jacob tied the knot at Mytton Fold on 26th October 2024

The minute we walked into Mytton Fold; we just knew this was where we could see ourselves getting married and spending our special day. We had visited a few others venues locally, but never felt they were the right fit for us overall.

Everything about the Mytton Fold was perfect; the space was so elegant, the staff were so welcoming, and the accommodation was onsite; we couldn’t think of a more well-fitted wedding venue for us.

Our theme and colour palette for the day, was black and white, classy and timeless.

All of our venue décor, bridalwear and finishing touches fit this theme perfectly, with the groom, groomsmen and page boy suited and booted in black tuxedos, and our gorgeous bridesmaids in elegant black dresses, complete with classic white rose bouquets and buttonholes for the entire bridal party.

There was a lot of research involved in the planning of our wedding, and of course we asked for recommendations from the Mytton Fold weddings team. We were set on our theme and vision, and it didn’t take long for us to find the perfect suppliers to complete our perfect day.

When looking for my dress, I originally visited a range of bridal shops in the area but wasn’t set on anything, that’s until I visited Wed2B in Bolton, and found THE dress! I knew instantly when I laid eyes on it, and of course as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the perfect dress for me – ticked all of my boxes.

Our friends and family all complimented the day as a whole, from seeing us walk down the aisle, to the personal finishing touches that we added to the day.

We also hired daytime entertainment from PC Roadshows, which really kept the day flowing, and Phil from PC made sure that all our guests had a day they wouldn’t forget, which was definitely a highlight for us, and for them too!

My advice to other couples would be to make sure that you really soak up every moment you can during the day, and make sure you make time for each other, as it’s so easy to get distracted with all of your guests around you. Why not have certain songs that will play as a cue for you to find each other throughout the night, to make sure you get to enjoy those moments together throughout the evening. This worked really well for us and made sure we had our own private moments and memories throughout the day and night.

Where did you spend your honeymoon?
Rather than a honeymoon, we planned a lovely, chilled family getaway with our little boy, as we had never all been away together, and felt that this was the right time to celebrate the Briody family!

Our 3 favourite things:
1. Our venue, offering us all that we needed to tie-the-knot in one place.
2. Finally becoming Mr and Mrs Briody in front of our nearest and dearest.
3. Having all our family and friends in one place to help celebrate our special day all together.
