The Great Lancashire Wedding Show’s Big Wedding Weekender

Last weekend saw the Little White Books‘ Great Lancashire Wedding Show stretch out to its first Big Wedding Weekender. And it was an amazing weekend!

Last weekend saw over 1,400 excited brides come through the doors to talk to over 100 fabulous exhibitors and with footfall of over 4,500 people it’s safe to say it was a very busy weekend!

I’ve exhibited at this show before in my last pre-retirement cake life and I know all the exhibitors put an awful lot of effort into their stands. Now I’m on the other side of the event and this weekend I got to see the time and effort that goes into planning the whole event and also the transformation that occurs in the arena as the stands go up! This is how it looked when I arrived at 1pm on the Friday before the show:

By mid afternoon though the crew had done an amazing job and the shell schemes were ready for the first exhibitors to start setting up.

The morning after at just before 11am we were ready to open the doors….and this is the queue that was waiting inside and outside!

What followed was an incredible two days of brides, their families and lots of ideas for that special day. Amazing catwalk shows and entertainment on our stage area, lots of tip from the hair and make-up demo and many, many brides meeting those special suppliers.

As with most things. images speak much louder than lots of words so I think the best way to show the spirit of the weekend is to share more of Mick’s images:

Such an amazing weekend for everyone involved, and we’re already getting ready to do it all again in November! Next time the show will be on Sunday 9th November but….it’ll fill the whole arena!

Pop the date in your diary now so you don’t miss out on a fabulous day, and if you’re an exhibitor wanting to be involved please visit the Little White Books website to request a media pack.

More photos will follow soon of many of the exhibitors and their stands, so keep a watch out here and on our Facebook page.
