The Perfect Mix of Traditional and Modern – Alicia & Gabriella at Mitton Hall

Alicia & Gabriella got married on 31th July 2022 at Mitton Hall.

We first saw each other in an airport and then fate brought us back together three months later at our football club. When we went on our dream holiday to San Francisco and LA, I took Gabriella onto the Pacific Wheel at Santa Monica Pier and proposed almost immediately as I was so nervous. She obviously said yes and we spent the rest of the night sat on the beach talking about our future.

The wedding venue we chose was Mitton Hall. We had seen it multiple times and knew, with its mix of traditional and modern, it was the place for us.

Alicia’s gown was from Wed2Be with alterations by Jules Bridal Boutique. “I chose my dress as I have two tattoo sleeves on my arms and my dress complimented them as a statement piece. I was looking for a design which was flattering and feminine, but also something in which I felt comfortable.”

Gabriella’s gown was from Bliss Bridal with alterations by Magic Stitches for Alterations. “I have always dreamt of an elegant lace dress for my wedding day, so the brilliant Magic Stitches added two lace sleeves which complimented the dress and made it perfect.”

A real special moment for us both was looking out onto our family and friends at the end of the aisle. The love we felt for each other and everyone else in that moment was magical. And seeing our little dogs after the ceremony, that was pretty special too.

Our first dance song was Lover by Taylor Swift. We chose this song as the words are so relatable to us and we love Taylor Swift which helps. After our first dance, we broke into our favourite 90’s dance track ‘Set You Free’ by N-Trance. Everybody got up and made the moment feel like something out of a movie.

Our wedding day fell on the day of the Women’s Euros Final with England Vs Germany. We are huge Lionesses fans so missing the game wasn’t an option! We asked the fabulous Mitton Hall to accommodate for this and they did, it made it even more special. And then the Women won the Euros. Enough said!
