“As soon as we saw Hobbit Hill, we knew it was The One!” by Harriet & Ashley

Harriet & Ashley were married at Hobbit Hill on 25^th July 2024

We really wanted a wedding venue that had a woodland, barn feel, with lots of outdoor space and the potential for an outdoor ceremony. We also wanted our evening reception to be in one room and somewhere that offered lots of accommodation.

We looked locally around Lancashire and Cheshire, but as soon as we visited Hobbit Hill we knew it was the one. It had everything we were looking for, the woodland vibe, outdoor ceremony area, accommodation, big indoor reception room. It just had a magical feel about the place.

We booked our wedding two years in advance. The team were amazing, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. They kept us up to date with everything as the wedding approached and they ran the day for us, keeping me (Harriet) calm on the morning of the wedding. We were able to access the venue the day before to help set everything up and there was always someone on hand to answer our millions of questions.

We changed our minds about the colour theme so many times but eventually settled on navy blue and gold after Ashley found her suit. We wanted to go for a relaxed vibe which suited the venue’s character, adding candles and simple runners to the tables.

On the day there was so many amazing photo opportunities, but we loved the images taken in the woodlands and those on the lawn of our guests’ playing games.

Hobbit Hill allowed us to make our dream wedding a reality. The venue is picture perfect, whatever the weather! It is the most stunning, magical venue. When you walk through the trees into the clearing you truly feel like you’re in a fairytale.
