When we originally started looking for wedding venue, we looked around the Lake District area, but as we didn’t want our guests to travel too far, we then started looking closer to home.
With us wanting an Autumn wedding, we wanted a venue that would represent the season and work well with our theme. We know Ribby Hall well and knew that it had the right landscape to capture our wedding photographs how we wanted.
With some of the wedding party not having the best mobility, we also needed somewhere everyone could access and get back to easily at the end of the night. We found the accommodation at Ribby Hall to be a great selling point, all in-house and everyone able to check in and relax, making it a holiday for all.
The quality of service is exceptional at Ribby Hall, as is the accommodation and amenities on offer (spa, gym, swimming pool, and food outlets). It was a wonderful holiday environment for all our guests, with ample parking and the ability to go back to the lodges when guests wanted to.
It is also packed with stunning photo opportunities from the beautiful gardens and pond to the surrounding woodland and picturesque spa hotel.
Ribby Hall is a place close to our hearts, as we have brought our daughter since she was a baby, so we have a sentimental attachment. We also loved that we would be able to revisit on our anniversaries too.
We booked the wedding 18 months in advance and found the wedding team so helpful throughout. Sarah, our wedding planner understood our wishes, taking the time to get to know us, and putting in place exactly the style we wanted.
Flower Design were our chosen florist, their exceptional talent bought our ideas to life – the purples, green, pinks with the rustic theme worked so well. We also hired rustic LOVE letters and completed our top table and chairs with green sashes. For the evening we hired a LED white dance floor as I felt this would light the night-time photos better.
We would definitely recommend Ribby Hall to others; the venue, the food, the accommodation and facilities are all amazing. The staff were all very attentive to our needs, with great communication skills and attention to detail; nothing was too much trouble.
