Ken Darwen & Michael Lambshead tied the knot at Towneley Hall on Saturday
12 October 2019. Here’s their story:
“For our wedding venue we
wanted a historic house that could hold our ceremony and the afternoon
wedding breakfast. Due to family connections we wanted the venue to be in the
Lancashire area.
We decided on
the award-winning Towneley Hall in Burnley
due its heritage and beautiful setting and booked the venue 18 months in
advance.
The great hall
and majestic regency rooms were ideal for the ceremony and wedding breakfast.
The rooms are hung with original works of art and the hall itself is set in over 400 acres of historic woodland with small formal gardens next to the
hall itself.
Due to the date, our theme for the day was autumn, with vintage décor and floral displays. The stunning autumn colours in the surrounding parklands and gardens
blended perfectly with our theme and
made for a magical setting.
The Towneley
wedding team made planning our day so easy from start to finish and were a
pleasure to work with. The catering company they recommended were fabulous,
catering for all tastes.
I would recommend
Towneley Hall; the location, setting and amazing
staff made it an easy choice for us, it is a stunning venue.”
