With all eyes on the newly-married
couple, the lights dim, the spotlight comes on and the music begins for your
first dance. Nerves kick in, palpitations begin and suddenly you realise you
have two left feet! This is why more and more couples are looking to
choreograph their first dance routine these days and it’s become such a
personal and important ritual of the wedding day. It can be fun, fast, slow –
there are no rules. It’s all about choosing the song that reflects your
personalities and being confident when you’re up on the dance floor. There are
lots of dance companies and teachers who will help you create a routine as easy
or as complex as you desire, depending on your dancing capabilities. But even
the most two left-footed amongst us can all be taught a simple routine so you
can perform with confidence leaving the nerves behind and above all else, enjoy
the moment!
