In January ’15 we published our tenth magazine with the incredibly popular ‘Eric’ cover. I think this has got to be my favourite magazine cover so far with an amazing team of people working together to create it. Read more about who was involved here
We also launched our very first Great Northern Wedding Awards where our finalists and winners were nominated and voted for by you, our couples.
Spring 2015
Spring saw our fifth Great Northern Wedding Show but this time with the first ever
Alternative catwalk courtesy of Legend Bridal Designs. This catwalk had its own timeslot of 3pm and is now an integral part of future shows.
We also launched our #GNWS2015 hamper competition at the show and our first winner was Jen Robinson who won the hugest hamper of wedding goodies.
Summer 2015
Winners and Runners Up of the Great Northern Wedding Awards 2015 were
revealed at our awards ceremony at Ashfield House. It was a fantastic afternoon with many of the region’s most successful wedding businesses all under one roof!
“EaveysMom” won a £25 John Lewis voucher just by telling us what scent she was wearing on her wedding day, a competition we ran on social media.
Our Twitter hour #weddingoclock celebrated its second birthday too. Join us every Sunday between 9 and 10pm.
July ’15 saw the launch of
issue 11 of our Little White Books magazine – all 200 pages of it! And we still give it away for free to every couple that visits our events. Our front cover image was taken at the stunningly impressive Leighton Hall in Carnforth, take a look at our behind the scenes blog here
We published a full colour Wedding Planner tool to
giveaway free to all our pre-registered brides, plus revealed our new design
‘Here Comes the Bride’ goody bags – also given away free to every bride who
registers at our events.
Autumn 2015
Winners of our ‘Win a Wedding’ competition Ashley &
Kirsty Brown were married at the BEST WESTERN Oaks Hotel, Burnley in September – many congratulations to you both!
Our sixth Great
Northern Wedding Show at Bolton Arena attracted record breaking attendance numbers and our second #GNWS2015 Hamper winner was Hannah Smith – another huge collection of wedding
goodies all given away for free!
Nominations opened for the 2016 Great Northern
Wedding Awards and closed in December – all top ten finalists to be revealed in
January ’16.
The winner of our Selfie competition #LWB2015 was announced
as Kay Michelle who won £250 in cash to spend on her wedding, plus we had so
many fab entries we created a runner up prize of £50 for Mark Wilson too.
And Heather Brooks won our £25 iTunes voucher just by sharing her first dance song
with us (Amazed by Lone Star), another competition we ran on social media.
So, what’s around the corner in 2016?
In January, the brand new edition of the Little White Books wedding magazine will
be published just in time for our first wedding fair of 2016, the Weekend
Wedding Spectacular at Eaves Hall, Clitheroe on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th January. To pre-register for free entry click here
