This Sunday 20th September at 11am we’ll be opening our doors and welcoming thousands of people to our 6th Great Northern Wedding Show. With 120 of the region’s finest & best wedding businesses all under one roof, this is wedding planning HEAVEN! And a fantastic day out for everyone.
So, what do we have in store for you? Here’s a run through of the whole event from start to finish…
First of all you need to pre-register if you want to visit our show for FREE, otherwise it’s a £2 per person entry fee on the day. Once you’ve pre-registered then you and your guests can all visit our show for free.
Everybody begins to arrive from 10am and the queue quickly forms around the Arena. Once the doors open though at 11am we have lots of the Little White Books team on the registration desks so waiting time is kept to an absolute minimum. Plus if you’ve pre-registered you just need to show your email on your phone and in you go! We’ve put in a special request for fine weather too.
The first 500 brides to arrive on Sunday will receive an exclusive goody bag which includes free treats and fantastic discount vouchers. There’s petal confetti from Shropshire Petals, bath bombs from Ramsbottom Soap Company, more Wedding SOS Kit items with nail files and clear nail varnish, sweet treats with Love Hearts, salted caramels from Sweetieatie, sweetie cones from Candy Bar Occasions, mojito fudge and more treats courtesy of Maighread Stuart Millinery, lollies from Holly’s Lollies, ballpoint pens, note pads and more. Each goody bag contains a random selection of these items plus every bride receive a free Little White Books wedding magazine and a free show guide. Here’s a sneaky peek at our goody bags:

During the show you have the chance to enter lots of competitions, including two of our own. You could win £250 Cash if you take a selfie with the Little White Books magazine and post with the hashtag #LWB2015 on Twitter, Instagram or on our pinned Facebook post. Full details here

We have lots of refreshments available for you including our Flavour wine bar with a great selection of wine, Prosecco and beer; Afternoon Tea served by Elsie’s Afternoon Tea where you can treat yourself to cakes, tea and sandwiches or just grab a coffee to go; Dolly’s Delights will be back serving ice creams from the beautiful VW camper, bacon butties & steak burgers from Wild Garlic Event Catering, wood fired pizzas from Stonebakers and gorgeous delicious waffles from the Waffle Box.
Our first demonstration of the day is the Beauty Demo by Kerry Baker Make Up Artist at 12.15pm. This takes place on the catwalk stage and she is going to present how to achieve a perfectly flawless look which will last as long as you do!
At 12.30pm we have our first Catwalk Show of the day, headlined by Your Dream Dress of Penwortham, Bridalwear by Esme of Bury, Slaters Menswear and occasionwear by Flamingo. Our first catwalk show is always standing room only but don’t worry – our second catwalk won’t be too far behind! Performing before our first catwalk will be Just Matt.
Our second demonstration of the day is a mock Wedding Ceremony from the Cheshire Registrars who will be giving you advice on how to create the perfect ceremony you have always wished for. This takes place on the catwalk stage at approximately 1.30pm.
This is followed by our second catwalk show at 1.45pm again featuring Your Dream Dress of Penwortham, Bridalwear by Esme of Bury, Slaters Menswear and occasionwear by Flamingo. Performing just before will be singer Sean Perkins.
And at 3pm our Alternative Catwalk returns by Legend Bridalwear – designers of bespoke wedding dresses from fairytale, to gothic, to rockabilly and everything in between! This Catwalk has lots of surprises in store for you so it’s well worth staying with us for the whole afternoon to make sure you catch this.
Our catwalk shows are hosted by Mark from the Party Project and all our staging and lighting is provided by Fun Leisure.
There are 450 free car parking spaces around the Arena and plenty of extra parking around Middlebrook. Follow the yellow AA signs when you arrive at the Arena and if you need the postcode for your Sat Nav it’s BL6 6LB. See you on Sunday!
