We held our Spring wedding fair at the BEST WESTERN Oaks Hotel earlier this month. I hadn’t been to the hotel before and I have to say it’s a bit of a hidden gem!
I’m a Lancashire lass and have lived here my whole life but to be honest wasn’t really aware of this lovely place. The hotel was once the private home of a wealthy local merchant and has been restored to preserve the grandeur of a bygone era. On the day of the fair it was freezing outside but the welcome was warm both from the staff and the glorious fire in the entrance hall! Leading off the hall is the grand staircase with the most beautiful stained glass windows I’ve ever seen in a wedding venue.
The hotel itself has 51 rooms for your guests and a selection of function rooms available for your reception and ceremony. The whole feel of the hotel is warm and inviting and with a definite country house vibe.
The grounds around the buildings would be great for a summer wedding too and provide lots of space for your party to have photographs taken and to take advantage of any summer sun! With a gym, swimming pool, two jacuzzis and a sauna and steam room too, The Oaks makes an ideal venue for your wedding day.
