One Beautiful Day make-up from Joanne Shillito

Today we hear about bridal party make-up from Joanne at One Beautiful Day. Joanne is a freelance make-up artist and beauty therapist in the North West, specialising in bridal, fashion and occasion make-up. ‘My make-up kit contains professional, high quality products that look fantastic both in photographs and in real life. Your make-up will feel light and last all through the day and night.
I am always doing special offers for brides. This month’s offer (August) is book yourself and 2 or more bridesmaids in for your special day and the mother of the bride gets her make-up done for just £20.
Many brides are a bit wary of having someone do their make-up for the special day as they think they won’t like themselves when they walk down the aisle! But I listen to what my brides want to make them feel at ease.
The foundation I use is very light it doesn’t feel like you have anything on your skin but gives the flawless look that brides want. I also use primers on the skin – this will help the make-up stay on all day and is a MUST HAVE product to have in your make-up bag. It’s not only for keeping your make-up on all day but it helps smooth out your skin before you apply foundation to give a flawless finish.
I always advise my brides on their make-up trial leading up to their wedding day that they should have a skin care routine to brighten up their skin. If they don’t have one this includes cleanse, exfoliate (twice a week), tone and moisturise every day. The bride will see a difference straight away – the skin will look fresh, bright and make-up will look flawless.’
